About the Community
Building a Better America: A Small Business Resource Community (BBA Community) connects small businesses with critical resources and information, including how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, American Rescue Plan, and Made in America create opportunities to help your small business thrive!
The Community also features a series of free briefings and trainings to help small businesses access and utilize these resources to grow their business and create great jobs. These briefings convene respected leaders from across business, government, advocacy, and economic development to discuss:
- Steps you can take now to learn and take advantage of existing programs that are available at the U.S. Small Business Administration & other agencies;
- Updates regarding programs and recent policy announcements, including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, American Rescue Plan and Made in America;
- Discussion on important, timely policy issues, including paid leave, the earned income tax credit, the child tax credit, access to affordable childcare, hiring and retaining workers, and health care access and cost;
- Your questions, answered by SBA Leadership & small business experts.
At the heart of the Community is a commitment to
provide small business owners with opportunities to expand their networks, connecting with vendors, lenders, and other key stakeholders that are critical for business success.
The American Rescue Plan and
Bipartisan Infrastructure Law have:
Distributed more than $400 billion in critical relief to more than 6 million small businesses
Expanded access to tens of billions of dollars worth of government contracts for small businesses
Empowered the Minority Business Development Agency to assist entrepreneurs of color to raise capital

The BBA Community is a joint public-private co-sponsorship between the U.S. Small Business Administration and Public Private Strategies Institute.

Public Private Strategies Institute: The Public Private Strategies Institute (PPSI) is an independent research and education organization. PPSI engages in educational activities concerning the public and private sectors’ roles in advancing societal change. PPSI explores best practices and trends through research, publications, and educational events. Additionally, it produces educational and informational content that will educate public and private sector actors about their capacity to be agents of social change; and conduct research into the existing landscape of public and private social responsibility and the potential for the future.
